How Should I Prepare For The She-Beast Cleanse?
About one to three days before you start your cleanse, eliminate the following items from your diet:
- Alcohol
- Added/refined sugars (both natural and man-made)
- Refined carbohydrates (instant oatmeal, white flour, or bread)
- Processed Foods (pretty much anything that is boxed, bottled, or canned)
- Any artificial colors, flavors, or additives (these are found in processed foods, listed above
- Caffeinated beverages (energy drinks, caffeinated teas, or coffee)
How To Kick Caffeine: A lot of people are addicted to caffeine, which is a stimulant that can cause serious withdrawal symptoms. If you drink caffeinated beverages every day, quitting cold turkey can sometimes result in headaches, sweats, or other unpleasant effects. Try to wean yourself off gradually before your cleanse. If you drink three cups of coffee a day, cut it down to one cup a day in the days leading up to your cleanse.
Before your cleanse, go through your kitchen and remove anything that might tempt you during the cleanse. When you have certain indulgences in sight, you are more likely to consume them. Additionally, try to adhere to the raw vegan diet during the cleansing period. Don’t eat dairy products, eggs, meat, processed foods, or caffeine during the cleanse. It is actually beneficial to avoid these items a few days before and a few days after cleansing. Lastly, don’t binge-eat the night before your cleanse because you’ll regret it the following day.
